How does it work?

The Alternative is an exciting initiative of the Government of South Australia. It offers South Australian businesses access to a pool of talented graduates on a paid rotational placement basis.

Eligible graduates apply to be part of The Alternative’s Talent Community, and SA businesses register their interest in joining The Alternative’s Employer Panel. This process is managed by the Department of State Development (the Department).

Businesses in the Employer Panel are provided with access to the Talent Community, which will be facilitated by a AGA, our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider.

AGA engages directly with businesses, and is responsible for the day-to-day assessment, selection, and rotational placement of graduates into businesses, as well as for employment matters including line reporting, performance management and payroll.

Business will be invoiced a simple all-inclusive hourly rate with no hidden fees of the graduate participants through to RPO, AGA.

Ongoing support for program participants will be provided, including an extensive Professional Development program facilitated by our Delivery Partners, Readygrad and ISC Consulting.
